Federation Entertainment, the most diverse programming mix

Federation Entertainment (France) arrives to the second semester of 2021 with one of the largest and most diverse catalogues of the last years, combining drama, dramedy, action, thriller and documentaries.

Heading the slate is the Italian action series Don’t Leave Me (6x’52), produced by Papermoon for Rai Fiction, about a policewoman who lives in Rome and specializes in computer crimes coupled with child pornography. A new case pushes her to return to Venice, her hometown, where she stumbles upon her former great love Daniele, now deputy commissioner of the Homicide Squad.

Produced by Cheyenne Federation, A French Case (6x’52) is a thrilling suspenseful series that focuses on the events surrounding the death of little Gregory. For the past 35 years, this momentous unresolved investigation has marked a turning point in the media and judicial system in France.

Nadia, documentary

Myriam Weil and Federation Entertainment documentary Nadia (’90) shows Nadia Nadim, whose father was killed by the Taliban in 2000, has embarked on this challenging journey. The young Afghan woman, her four sisters, and their mother fled Kabul in the wake of the violence. Like millions of their fellow citizens, they were ground down by a conflict that has lasted for decades, as Russian and then American forces occupied the country. Today, the Taliban have returned to rule.

Coming from Scandinavia, Mister 8 (8x’26) is a modern neo noir Finnish comedy from It’s Alive Films for Elisa Viihde (Viaplay). Maria is the CEO of a family business, and there is more than enough love in her life. It’s no wonder because Maria has seven spouses, a different man for every weekday. She falls in love with Juho, who has just moved into the town. But sadly, there are not eight days a week.

From Fabula Picture (Italy), Wake Up my Love (6x’45) is a family tragedy inspired by a true story produced for Mediaset. Nana is a mother, a wife and, above all, a courageous woman driven by a deep sense of justice. Her perfect life changes forever when her daughter suddenly falls ill. With the help of a fearless doctor coupled with the discovery of other similar cases doubt will be raised about the questionable working conditions in the local factory where her husband works.

Wake me Up, drama based on true story

The dramedy Deadly Tropics (24x’60) is set on the tropical Island of Martinique, two cops are forced to join forces on multiple murder investigations. In S2, Mélissa Sainte-Rose isn’t out of the woods yet with Gaëlle Crivelli. Barely back on duty, her partner decides to resolve a hostage crisis… by shooting her. Melissa also has to cope with her ex-husband’s unwelcome arrival on the island.

S2 of the French adaptation of cult Israeli format BeTipul, In Treatment (35x’26) is produced by Federation Entertainment, Les Films du Poisson and Ten Cinema, and directed by The Intouchables’ acclaimed directors Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, while The Bureau (50x’60) is a thriller positioned #3 on the New York Times list of “Best international series of the decade”. Within the DGSE operates The Bureau, a department in charge of training the most undercover agents of the French secret services. Dispatched to key locations all around the world and living under false identities for years, their mission is to identify potential sources.
