MIPCOM 2021: important tips to know

With 140 international exhibitors and 750 on site and onlineconfirmed buyers, MIPCOM 2021 is the very first big global event to reconnect the industry on October 11-14. The show is being organized along with MIPJunior and Canneseries: all together in one place.

Organizer, brand new RX France, informed in July that the market floor is moved to the Riviera section with small and medium-sized booths for all exhibitors. Producers, distributors and agents from Europe (mostly from France, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Russiaand Italy), Americas (USA) and Asia (India and Korea) have confirmed their presence.

Attendees must provide the “Health Passport» that shows that they have received the vaccination cycle and a negative test 48 hours or less before, or immunity after having had COVID-19, which can be settled through an application for smartphones.

A total of 585buyers are in Cannes + Online with 160 Online-only, summing up 750 in total. Even though more buyers will register themselves during MIPCOM week, it is expected a smaller and more regional event, European-focused mainly.

The digital extension to the physical market in Cannes plays a ‘key role’, offering since September lead generation, marketing and discovery tools.The platform, which isincluded within the price of any physical registration, will remain open until November 30.
