All3media International returns to MIPTV, with The Tourist as its main title by Two Brother in co-production with BBC and ZDF.
The Tourist (8×60’) follows an Irishman who finds himself in Australia being chased by a tanker trying to run him off the road, only to wake up in a hospital, injured, with no idea who he is. The series stars Jamie Dornan and Danielle Macdonald in the lead roles.
Also the company presents the Icelandic drama, Black Sands, co-produced by Channel 2 Iceland and Glassriver, and directed by award-winning director Baldvin Z (Trapped). This character-driven drama centers on a young police detective who is forced to confront his past while investigating a series of mysterious deaths in his hometown.
On the offer of formats, Don’t Tell the Bride stands out. Produced by Renegade Pictures, the seriesfollows a couple who receive a sum of money for planning their wedding with a single condition: one of them must be the sole planner of the big day, while the other has no idea what their wedding will bring.
They also have in their international catalog The Love Trap, an entertainment format produced by Great Scott Media, which explores how good participants are at detecting a genuine romantic connection. Following eight women who try to win the affection of a single man during a series of dates, but while half of the women want to win the hearts of single men, the other half want to stay in the game to be one step closer to win a big cash prize.
