Kidscreen anunció los ganadores de su premiación para su edición 2022, donde Netflix tras dominar la shortlist con 15 nominaciones, se llevó a casa 11 premios y su programa preescolar Trash Truck obtuvo la mayor cantidad de victorias por un solo título.
Netflix Animation dominó la edición Kidscreen Awards donde la serie animada para prescolares Trash Truck de Glen Keane Productions, obtuvo cuatro trofeos, lo que lo convirtió en el programa con más premios en la ceremonia: cosechó las categorías a Mejor serie nueva, Mejor serie animada, Mejor en su clase y Mejor episodio festivo o especial (una categoría nueva este año).
En tanto, el programa de comedia musical para niños Centaurworld, producido por la showrunner Megan Nicole Dong, también obtuvo buenos resultados para el gigante del streamer, ganando tres veces, al igual que la serie de títeres de live action Waffles + Mochi de la directora de Higher Ground Productions Michelle Obama.
Por su parte PBS KIDS se hizo con cuatro trofeos en esta edición, incluido el de Canal del año y el de Mejor serie web/aplicación de marca para Molly of Denali—Awesome Alaskan Kids.
La comediante Gray Griffin fue la conductora de la ceremonia, quien estuvo acompañada por el line up de jueces de la industria.
