Mediacrest: entertainment for the whole world

Mediacrest (Spain) continues to expand its international presence in markets in search of alliances that allow it to take its creativity beyond the borders of Spain. It has already done so successfully in entertainment, attracting ITV or NHK to produce in Spain and exporting fiction with Dynamo and Vix. And he arrives at Mipcom with a portfolio full of products and betting on self-created entertainment formats that travel.

Emma García, VP of International Sales, commented: ‘In these times it is good to have a global perspective and not put geographical limits on ideas. The market is very broad and very heterogeneous. We have very good products and first-rate professionals and with the right alliances we can take them to any corner of the world’.

Mediacrest arrives to MIPCOM betting heavily on entertainment, bringing to the international market a project that has won a prize at Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT, Who is my human?, a very original game show in which the contestants have to identify the human of each dog by following the clues given by the animal itself…

The second format promoted by the company is House of Dreams. García explained that this is more than just a reality show ‘because it mixes genres in a surprising way: everything is told, but not how to tell it’. A group of chosen ones will enter the program to make their dreams come true but, along the way, they will discover that reality is not what they imagine. ‘And we can count until then’, the executive completed.

Who is my human?, a very original game show

Regarding fiction, Mediacrest has advanced negotiations with international partners for several of its developments launched from the department directed by Gustavo Ferrada. ‘We have been establishing good contacts with international actors that allow us to be optimistic about the future of several of our own developments that are liked in neighboring countries, that is why we are going to take this part more discreetly to Mipcom, because we prefer to continue working these ways and strengthening alliances’, concluded Garcia.
