Audiovisual From Spain: Promoting the best of Spain

The company under the umbrella of Audiovisual From Spain leds at ATF its new audiovisual projects. The highlights include films from Atresmedia, DeAPLANETA KIDS, Mediterraneo, Movistar Plus+, ONZA, RTVE and The Mediapro Studio.

UPA Next from AtresMedia

As for Atresmedia Television, the company presents the drama UPA Next (8×50’) that tells the story of Robert, a man that returns from Miami with the idea of creating a grear musical that collects the old UPA hits along with new ones. Together with Silvia and Lola, they will start the entrance exams for the school, where a new pool of students, dancers, singers, and composers, who can take part in the musical and bring new rhythms to the center, will participate. The series it’s a Globomedia production.

DeAPLANETA Kids & Entertainment led its participation at ATF with Milo (52×11’), the animated series which tells the story of Milo and his best friends Lofty and Lark. The series is a coproduction with Fourth Walls.

Meanwhile Mediterraneo Mediaset España presents Secret Obsession (8×70’), a drama that follows the story of Inés, a 42-year-old woman who, at a complicated moment in her life, who dives into the sea to end her life. Her savior is Hugo, a teenager with whom she falls obsessively in love.

Movistar+ Plus International presents Off-World (5×45’), a drama that portrays in a realistic way the effects of a major solar storm in today’s world and the way people react to it. It’s not just about surviving, but on how people try to adapt to this new reality. Surprising, well directed, a realistic portrait of a (in)possible future.

Also Onza Distribution includes Young Addictions (3×45’), the documentary series that explores the most common drugs among teenagers: non-substance addictions consumed through the screens of their cellphones like social media, pornography and online gaming.

And RTVE presents The Hunt. Guadiana (8×60’), the drama that tells the story of a small town’s life, which is divided by the Guadiana riverbed, is dramatically altered in a Sunday market. While, The Mediapro Studio highlights Las Pelotaris, 1926 (8×50’), the drama that recounts the struggle of three Basquet players, who try to achieve their dreams by overcoming the prevailing prejudices and restraints in the 1920s, when men monopolized all power.

Audiovisual from Spain is the brand that brings together Spanish companies in the film and television content sector for their international promotion. The initiative of ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, has the collaboration of the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) and other public and private organizations.
