OGM Universe presents global phenomenon Deep In Love
Following its major events last year, OGM has highlighted its renewed international catalog for 2026. The title headlining its slate is Deep In Love, a series that has broken viewership records in Turkey and is being presented in Europe as an epic love story.
Under the OGM Universe umbrella, Ekin Koyuncu Karaman, Global Director of Distribution and Partnership, is in London to showcase this new content, aiming to secure successful deals across various European markets.
Produced in association with the public broadcaster TRT 1, the drama is positioned as a redefinition of classic romance for new audiences, blending elements of mythology and destiny. The creative team behind the project is led by screenwriters Ayşe Ferda Eryılmaz and Nehir Erdem, under the direction of Çağrı Bayrak. The on-screen cast features prominent figures of the Turkish ‘star system’, including Ulaş Tuna Astepe, Deniz Baysal, Burak Yörük, and Ava Z. Yaman.
The narrative is visually anchored in the wild geography of the Black Sea, using the landscape as a central storytelling element. The story follows Adil Koçari, described as the ‘proud leader of the mountains’, who returns to his homeland to reclaim the territory and the love he lost.
The conflict ignites following a gunshot fired by Esme Furtuna—an event that, rather than ending the dispute, sparks a new dynamic of revenge and attraction. The premise is built upon an ancient local legend: the mountain and the sea can never touch, yet they never stop searching for one another.
Since its premiere on TRT 1, the production has recorded significant ratings, notably its performance on digital platforms, where it accumulated 16.4 million views within its first two episodes alone.
The global distribution of Deep In Love is managed through a collaboration between OGM Universe and TRT Sales. Both partners position the title as a work that seeks to bridge the gap between the mythical and the modern, appealing to the universal relatability of forbidden love stories.
