With hits in the Hispanic market such as Cual es el Bueno, or the hit Mira Quién Baila, Endemol Shine Boomdog comes to MIPCOM to highlight the good performance of its formats and its availability in European markets.
Javier Pérez Teuffer, Senior VP of Operations and Business Affairs, spoke with Prensario about his current perspectives: ‘At this moment, Endemol Shine Boomdog is in a phase of constant growth and adaptation to changes in the industry. We are focused both on the creation of high-quality original content and on adapting it to the formats in our catalog, which are among the most successful formats in the world’.
The formats that have stood out in the international market include titles such as Cual es el Bueno, with local versions in Peru, Sweden and Norway. ‘This is an original format that was created between TelevisaUnivision, Endemol Shine Italia and Endemol Shine Boomdog‘, Teuffer said.
Likewise, they recently completed the adaptation of the French format Los 50, which had excellent results. Likewise, they are already preparing the premiere of the fourth season of La Casa de los Famosos, both productions for Telemundo in the US Hispanic.
‘Currently, the first Latin American version of Casados a Primera Vista is on air for Azteca Uno and we are close to the premiere of Mira Quien Baila on Univision.
The executive also referred to the enormous success with La Casa de Los Famosos México, in its first season with TelevisaUnivision. ‘Since its premiere, it had a total reach of 530 million people nationwide and obtained an impressive record of more than 133 million digital votes from the audience. Without a doubt, the winner, Wendy Guevara, and the other participants generated an authentic cultural phenomenon’.
Due to this traction, company will soon premiere a new show starring Wendy Guevara, titled Wendy, Lost but Famous, which will be available exclusively on ViX. ‘We have great expectations and enthusiasm for sharing this exciting project.’
Also, in September they began filming the series ‘Como agua para chocolate”, an adaptation of the book by Laura Esquivel, for HBO Max. ‘This is a premium production that we are sure will be a success on the platform.’
