The joint venture of Medyapım and Ay Yapım, Madd Entertainment is one of the most relevant distribution houses in the content market. And since last year, the company has been distributed some of the top dramas series from Turkey, such as My Little Girl, A Miracle, Flames Of Fate, All About Marriage, among others.
Özlem Özsümbül, Head of Sales, talked with Prensario about the good times in the content market. ‘We had a great years both in 2022 and 2023 because we have really good stories and high quality productions like Family Secrets, A Woman Scorned, Love Is In The Air… those titles are sold to many countries and they had great results where they are’.
As for MIPCOM, the company highlights 6 fresh titles. All of their premiers will be starting from September until December. The Family (Aile), The Brave (Hudutsuz Sevda), Dirty Laundry (Kirli Sepeti) , My Wonderful Life (Şahane Hayatım), Light in the Dark (Bir Derdim Var) and Wild Heart (Yabani).
‘Mipcom will be the 1st market of this new season so we are really excited about it. All our new productions are all female oriented and carry the attributes of Free TV content first. Their strong stories, atractive musics, talented actings and smart stroytelling, high quality and common points and feelings that reach international audiences will be a good reason again to enter and have our clients attention.. This season Madd promise to present the greatest stories for Turkish and international audiences and broadcasters again’, added Özsümbül.This year, the main outlets for its titles were free-to-air and pay tv side. Together with high demand from free tv side digitals, streaming interests also grows up more than previous years. ‘We are also focusing on remakes as well. After the success of Family Secrets’s Greek version Pagidevmenoi’s success we are also discussing some others too. we are also producing some remakes for Mena as well.
