Encripta: international film titles across thriller, horror and drama
Encripta will present at MIPCOM 2026 a selection of international feature films spanning thriller, horror, drama and action. The catalogue brings together productions from the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany and Italy, with a focus on character-driven stories, suspense and high-concept genre narratives.

The selection includes The Dreadful, a 2026 British thriller/horror directed by Natasha Kermani and starring Sophie Turner, Kit Harington and Marcia Gay Harden. Set around Anne and her mother-in-law Morwen, the story follows their isolated and difficult life on the margins of society until the return of a man from their past triggers a series of events that changes Anne’s life.
Another highlight is Sender, a US thriller directed by Russell Goldman and starring Britt Lower, Rhea Seehorn and Jamie Lee Curtis. The film follows a woman who begins receiving packages containing deeply personal and disturbing objects, sending her into an increasingly intense search to discover who is behind them.
The slate also features The Physician II, a German drama directed by Philipp Stölzl, in which physician Rob Cole flees Isfahan and arrives in London determined to share his medical knowledge. The catalogue expands with Forbidden City, an Italian action-thriller directed by Gabriele Mainetti, following a young man and a foreign woman who join forces while searching for their respective family members and confronting Rome’s criminal underworld.
Rounding out the MIPCOM 2026 selection is Chum, a US horror-thriller directed by Jonathan Zuck and starring Alice Eve and Elle Haymond. The film follows newlyweds who join friends on a yacht trip through the Mediterranean, only to become trapped between a predatory shark and a psychopathic killer. With these five titles, Encripta presents a genre-driven catalogue aimed at international buyers across multiple markets and platforms.
