Onza Distribution: Gran catálogo, crecimiento y expansión

Onza Distribution, la distribuidora y productora de contenido audiovisual española, ofrece un servicio único con un catálogo de contenidos que incluye telenovelas, series, documentales, formatos de ficción y entretenimiento, distribuidos en más de 120 países. La compañía con sede en Madrid, se encuentra actualmente en una fase de robusto crecimiento y expansión, tanto en términos de producción como de distribución.

La compañía dirigida por Carlos Garde logró consolidar su presencia a nivel internacional con ONZA Américas. En la producción acaba de terminar el rodaje de la serie Perverso para Prime Video y se encuentran inmersos en la preproducción de otras dos series. Además, cuenta con varios proyectos de entretenimiento y factual como por ejemplo Fuera de Cobertura para Mediaset España. En el ámbito de la distribución, ofrece títulos cada vez más relevantes como la serie Godless John, un true crime de ficción coproducido entre Portugal y Brasil, y Los mil días de Allende, su nueva serie premium de ficción histórica.

Onza Distribution quiere dar un gran impulso a su presencia internacional en USA y Latinoamérica con ONZA Américas. Este pasado año lanzaron la serie Isla Brava en ViX, que logró convertirseen una de las series más vistas de la plataforma del año 2023.

‘Este 2024 ya estamos trabajando en un desarrollo con Warner Bros. Discovery que está muy avanzado, otro proyecto muy cerca de entrar en desarrollo con otra plataforma y un unscripted con una celebrity muy importante de la región. Y por supuesto también estamos trabajando en la segunda temporada de nuestra exitosa serie Isla Brava que volverá a tener un gran talento mexicano para poder llegar de nuevo al liderazgo de audiencia’ comentó Carlos Garde, Director General, Onza Distribution.

Como parte de las últimas novedades, la compañía presenta en NATPE Gobal y Content Américas: Los mil días de Allende (4×60’) sobre la ascensión al poder del presidente Salvador Allende y sus últimos tres años con vida. Fresas con Azúcar (30×45’), remake de la exitosa serie portuguesa de los 90; se trata de un thriller adolescente que está siendo todo un éxito de audiencia. Por último, la próxima apuesta del 2024 es la telenovela Cacao (100×50’), la última gran superproducción de TVI, que estará disponible a partir de febrero y que fue filmada en espectaculares localizaciones de Brasil y Portugal.

Wild tales of Madrid

The City of Madrid seems to be a hostile terrain for wildlife, but some species have found important advantages for their survival there. This documentary shows five incredible stories of various animals that develop their life cycle alongside us. We will learn about the curiosities of the white stork that, for some years now, has preferred to spend the winters with the people of Madrid; the turbulent love affairs of the praying mantis; the fearsome abilities of the lion ant; we will also discover the intimate life of some vegetarian but highly poisonous ladybirds; and a magpie will fall victim to one of the most surprising tricks in the animal kingdom: a great spotted cuckoo will pretend to be one of the magpie’s children, a behavior never filmed before. These five wildlife stories run parallel to the daily routine of the people of Madrid. We will witness a secret and astonishing world that reveals the beauty of the unexpected, in the midst of urban chaos.

Cacao

Cacao is a young girl from a Portuguese family and who makes chocolates on a cocoa farm in Itacaré, Brazil. Her dream is to go abroad and study a pastry chef diploma but it is too expensive for her… Everything changes when her “father” decides to break a long-time pact with his wife and reveal that Cacao´s real father is actually Justino, the farm’s wealthy owner, who is shocked when he discovers that he had a daughter with his ex-lover, who disappeared years ago. This revelation triggers a series of intrigues and conflicts which jeopardize the heritage of the owner´s family as Cacao represents a threat to the other heirs. Cacao’s life is in danger but Tiago, an attractive young man she falls in love with, will do everything possible to protect Cacao from his enemies.
