Based on the long-running book series character Hakan Brakan, created by best-selling Swedish authors Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson, the Defenders of Imagination is taking aim at Annecy to premiere its fight against boredom using a unique blend of fantasy, adventure, and comedy.
Nuttery Entertainment and Toonz Media Group are excited to announce the start of the production for the pilot episode of their new animated series, «Defenders of Imagination». Based on the long-running book series character Hakan Brakan, created by best-selling Swedish authors Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson, the Defenders of Imagination is taking aim at Annecy to premiere its fight against boredom using a unique blend of fantasy, adventure, and comedy.
The Defenders of Imagination revolves around a dynamic and imagination-powered brother-and-sister duo – and their in the small town of Glimmerdahl. Alongside their friends, they stand against the adult world, led by stoic and passionless Dr. Meyn, threatening to transform the world into a dull, productive, and quiet dystopia.

The 11-minute CGI episode is inspired by the beloved book series from the original authors and promises to be a rollercoaster of fun, excitement, and creativity. The series will primarily target kids aged 6-9, but will feature writing designed to offer co-viewing opportunities for adults through fun and relatability. The full season one package will consist of 52 episodes.
