RTVE, Spain’s largest public audiovisual group, has a large portfolio of content spanning all genres and will be showcasing several of its most recent fiction productions at MIPTV 2024.
The production of quality audiovisual content is a hallmark of RTVE, with great fiction series, such as Isabel, Ana Tramel, HIT, Néboa, Malaka, La Caza Monteperdido, Estoy Vivo, Promesas de Arena, El Ministerio del Tiempo, La Otra Mirada, etc., and a wide catalog of content of all genres, most of them internationally awarded.
One of its main titles is La ley del mar ( 3×45′). It is a thriller, a social drama told through its characters. A fishing boat, ten crew members and a decision: to rescue 51 sub-Saharan migrants traveling in a drifting skiff. It is «The law of the sea…» But on land the laws work differently, and their act will bring them unimaginable consequences.
They also present Detective Touré (6×50′). It is a thriller that follows Touré, a sub-Saharan immigrant settled in Bilbao, who makes a living as an improvised small-time detective. His expertise and intuition earn him the trust of the Ertzaintza and plunge him into a complex investigation involving the Nigerian mafia.
In drama genre presents La moderna ( 120×55′). Contextualized in Madrid in 1930, the capital is a scene of great changes and with an effervescent intellectual and cultural universe, but the unstable political and social environment that spreads throughout the country deeply affects the people of Madrid. However, there is a select local, near the Puerta del Sol, where problems and conflicts do not cross the door, is the tea room «La Moderna».
In comedy genre presents 4 Estrellas (127×45′). The series follows Hotel Lasierra, a family business that has just received its fourth star at the worst possible moment. Clara, Rita, Marta and Silvia. They are the new Lasierra family, the four stars of this series. Now they will have to put their differences aside to move the hotel forward. 4 Estrellas is a contemporary, romantic and family comedy, in which, as in life, everything happens at the worst possible moment.
Finally, they present Esto no es Suecia ( 8×40′), which narrates in a dramatic comedy style, the contradiction that a couple of young parents encounter when it comes to protecting their children from the dangers of life. The series is filmed in Catalan, Spanish, English and Swedish.
