Prensario spoke with Rochella Ann Salvador, Assistant Vice President at GMA Network, Worldwide Division, who shared the company’s current strategy and future vision as it continues expanding the reach of Filipino content across the globe.

According to Salvador, GMA is focused on consolidating strong territories such as Africa and Latin America, where Filipino dramas already enjoy significant popularity. ‘These markets are a big part of our growth, and we want to keep building on that momentum’, she explained.

At the same time, the company is investing in streaming visibility and reinforcing its presence in Southeast Asia, a region with vast potential for Filipino stories.

Looking ahead to 2025 and 2026, Salvador highlighted GMA’s mission to bring quality Filipino storytelling to global audiences. ‘We are committed to showcasing the depth and creativity of Filipino storytelling, making it accessible to wider audiences and ensuring it resonates across cultures by strengthening our presence in key markets’, she said.

Building long-term partnerships with international players remains another top priority to sustain growth and opportunities.

At Mipcom 2025, GMA is presenting a diverse slate of titles. Her Name Was Carolina is a gripping drama filled with love, betrayal, and a woman’s fight to clear her name after a shocking murder accusation.

Hearts on the Badge combines crime and action, following a police officer and an undercover agent caught in a deadly conspiracy.

Rounding out the lineup is Sang’gre, a fantasy epic from the acclaimed Encantadia universe, where a young woman must embrace her destiny as the last princess defending her realm.
