After a decade-long hiatus, TV Asahi’s beloved Japanese animated series Doraemon is making a comeback in France with brand-new French-dubbed episodes. Produced by TV Asahi and distributed by Paris-based digital distributor Soupir, the release marks the first French-language dub of the classic since 2015.

The new season, comprising 13 x 22-minute (or 26 x 11-minute) episodes, will debut on YouTube (France) on 3rd October, followed by Anime Digital Network (ADN), Amazon Prime Video, Pluto TV and other platforms. This rollout not only revives the Doraemon library for French audiences but also introduces the iconic blue robot cat to a new generation.

A major promotional campaign, Bonjour Doraemon, will support the launch with visuals, cast video messages, YouTube Shorts and sneak previews. Leading the French voice cast is Emmanuel Curtil, known as the official French voice of Jim Carrey and Disney’s Goofy, who voices Doraemon. He is joined by Brigitte Lecordier—famous for voicing Son Goku—who plays Nobita Nobi and co-directs dubbing alongside Louis Lecordier.

To celebrate, TV Asahi will host a Dorayaki Party at MIPCOM on 14th October, featuring Curtil and Lecordier sharing behind-the-scenes insights.

First created by Fujiko F. Fujio in 1970, Doraemon has become a cultural phenomenon with over 2.000 episodes and worldwide recognition. This new French dub promises to honor its legacy while capturing new fans with its timeless humor and heartwarming adventures.
