Caracol TV is attending ATF 2025 with a slate of scripted dramas that emphasize high-stakes social conflict, political intrigue, and returning hit franchises.
The distributor is launching Defyning Destiny, a new drama that centers on María, a leader whose influence becomes the icon for a social class struggle. The plot focuses on her fight to grant legal status and labor rights to domestic workers in her country who have historically worked without protection.
The slate also features the return of a successful series with Ana’s Revenge 2: A Second Chance for Justice. The sequel brings back protagonist Analía after she defeated her father, Guillermo León Mejía, and sent him to prison. Believing she can finally find happiness with her love, presidential candidate Pablo de la Torre, Analía’s world is disrupted when Mejía resurfaces. Mejía escapes prison and returns to politics, aiming to punish Analía and become the president of Colombia. Analía must risk her life and employ all her intelligence to stop him, facing off against his ally and professional assassin, Paulina Peña. The series is produced by CMO for Caracol Televisión and stars Carolina Gómez, Marlon Moreno, and George Slebi, with Paola Turbay in the antagonist role.
Rounding out the offerings is Newly Rich Newly Poor, a new version of the story following Andrés Ferreira and Brayan Galindo Romero. Their lives are swapped at birth in a town hospital due to a nurse’s error, a truth that is revealed thirty years later, leading to complex and hilarious situations.
