
As one of the titles in its current international catalogue, All3Media International is highlighting at MIPCOM 2023 the six-episodes dark comedy Far North which tells the story of the Ninety Mile Beach meth bust in 2016, foiled by residents from the Far North town of Ahipara, at the base of Ninety Mile Beach.
Produced by South Pacific Pictures and White Balance Pictures, Far North has already been acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery (NZ), Paramount+ (Australia), and Sundance Now.
Also, after a continent-wide deal with Prime Video Africa, the British distributor shows In Love & Toxic: Blue Therapy, a show which is based on the viral YouTube series Blue Therapy. Produced by Luti Media, the reality series explores the complex modern relationships of five young, diverse and aspirational couples, rarely shown on screens.
Meanwhile, produced by All3Media production company and Two Brothers Pictures for BBC One and Amazon Freevee, Boat Story is an action thriller that follows two ordinary people whom the world has turned its back on. When they stumble upon haul of illegal drugs found on a shipwrecked boat the pair can’t believe their luck as they agree to sell it and split the cash. But on their tail is a sharp suited gangster known as “The Tailor”.
In addition to these highlights, the company have on its slate: The Long Shadow, from the BAFTA-winning director Lewis Arnold; the format The Underdog produced by Primal Media and Motion Content Group for E4 (UK), and Keeping It Up¸ a Two Rivers Media production which tells the story of Viagra, the little blue pill that forever changed the world.
