Amagi, a SaaS technology solutions provider for broadcast and streaming TV, has announced the appointment of Emma Whitmore as its new Senior Vice President of Sales, EMEA. The executive brings over two decades of experience within the media and technology sectors to her new role.

Whitmore most recently served as Group Vice President, EMEA, for Edgio, and previously spent ten years at Limelight Networks. She will report to Dan Marshall, EVP, Global SaaS Sales, who noted her combination of industry expertise and focus on execution.

Commenting on her appointment, Whitmore stated, ‘I’m excited to join at a time of rapid growth and innovation across EMEA. This is a unique opportunity to work even more closely with our customers, expand our local presence, and ensure we’re delivering solutions that truly reflect the needs of today’s broadcasters and content owners’.

Sri Hari Thirunavukkarasu, who previously led sales for Amagi in the EMEA region for over ten years, will be relocating to the company headquarters in India.

Whitmore also contributes to various innovation initiatives, including the UK Government’s Future of TV working group and the Digital TV Group Council. She was also part of a TM Forum Catalyst project focused on sustainability in the media ecosystem. Additionally, she is involved as a mentor and advocate for women in the sector, and serves as a school governor and youth hockey coach.

Last year, Amagi expanded its business in Europe through the acquisition of Tellyo, a company specializing in creating and producing live events and social media content.
