AMC+ continues its international roll out

Debuting in key markets across Europe and APAC, AMC+ is preparing to announce more countries in the coming months for the launch of the platform. In several of these territories, AMC’s streaming service is available through alliances with various telcos and operators. 

In Spain, AMC+ is available on Orange TV, Vodafone TV, Jazztel TV and as a channel on Prime Video and Apple TV. In India, through Prime Video and Apple TV, meanwhile, the service has just launched for the first time in Korea on KT’s Olleh TV

In New Zealand, it is now available through a suite of direct-to-consumer apps across web, Apple and Android devices. In Australia, via web, Apple, Android, and Amazon Fire devices, as well as Prime Video and Apple TV. One of the featured titles is the adaptation of Anne Rice’s literary franchise, Interview with the Vampire, 

Anne Rice’s literary franchise, Interview with the Vampire, has become the #1 show on AMC+. Starring Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Bailey Bass and Eric Bogosian, AMC Networks announced a renewal of the series for a second season to be set in Europe with Oscar- and Emmy-winning producer Mark Johnson and executive producer Rolin Jones

The company also confirmed that by 2023 it will premiere on the service, Mayfair Witches, also based on the Anne Rice universe, starring Alexandra Daddario, Jack Huston, Tongayi Chirisa and Harry Hamlin and executive produced by Johnson and Showrunner Esta Spalding

AMC+ will also premiere the next generation of series from The Walking Dead Universe, including The Walking Dead: Dead City, which centers on the popular Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) on their journey to post-apocalyptic Manhattan. And a highly anticipated spin-off that brings together fan-favorite characters Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira), among many other exciting new series. ‘These recent international launches highlight the growing demand for AMC+ among major affiliates and distribution partners as we bring our slate of groundbreaking dramas and fan-driven epic franchises to new audiences’ said Miquel Penella, president of streaming service.
