Ánima Kitchent and Mocca Studio launch preschool IP Tippi T-Rex in china with 24 Bridges

Spanish animation company Ánima Kitchent, in a co-production partnership with Indonesia’s Mocca Studio, has officially launched its preschool intellectual property Tippi T-Rex in the Chinese market. The international expansion is driven by a massive digital content rollout coupled with a comprehensive consumer products agreement with 24 Bridges, a subsidiary of Beijing-based Bridges Culture Transmission Co. Ltd.

The launch stems from an exclusive distribution agreement brokered by Barcelona-based kids and family content distributor GoldBee. The deal grants 24 Bridges the exclusive rights in China to a content package that includes 52 five-minute episodes of the 2D animated series, alongside four original songs and fourteen 3.5-minute shorts.

Tippi T-Rex debuted in China in late April, dropping the first eight episodes from its initial 26-episode slate. Moving forward, the series will release two new episodes twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The digital footprint for the rollout is highly extensive, covering China’s major video-on-demand platforms, smart TV manufacturers, and telecommunications networks. The series is currently streaming across platforms including Youku, Tencent, iQIYI, Sohu, Xiaomi, Konka, FunTV, Baidu Smart Screen, Hisense, TCL, Coocaa, Huawei, NutTV, XGIMI, vivo, Migu, Wasu, and LeTV, in addition to multiple regional IPTV and DVB services. To drive initial audience engagement, the distribution strategy utilizes a freemium model, offering the first episode for free while placing the remaining content behind a subscription paywall.
