The Witch screening: A suspenseful crime drama and an intriguing story about redemption and revenge, one of the biggest drama series ever to be produced by a Greek network, directed by Lefteris Charitos and written by Melina Tsampani & Petros Kalkovalis. The story unfolds in 1817 Ottoman-occupied Greece, in the unconquered region of Mani, where two rival families are united by marriage and the birth of their first son. With the disappearance of the child a young maid’s vision leads her to the missing infant. As her visions intensify and suspicions of witchcraft emerge against her, she must find the infant’s kidnappers to save herself and avert a civil war that ends all hope of revolt against Greece’s occupiers. A fast-paced series with twists and turns across all episodes. The Q&A session with Director Lefteris Charitos who along with Nikos Christoforou, Chief Content Officer Antenna Group, will discuss the series’ compelling storytelling and innovative direction which portrays the country’s breath-taking beauty.
Soul Daughters screening: This female-led drama is set in 1950’s Athens and focuses on four sisters, from the Greek countryside who agree to foster placement at a wealthy household, only to be separated and forced into abusive servitude. Their struggle to reunite, their fight against their cruel new foster families and the inhuman yet legal foster tradition in Greece over this period compile the emotional and passionate tapestry of this story. The Q&A session with Producer, Irene Souganidou who along with Frosso Ralli, Creative Director, will discuss how this exceptional and captivating new series mesmerized the audience achieving both record breaking streaming views and FTA ratings success.
