ATV: la atracción de los dramas turcos épicos

La expansión del universo histórico de los líderes turcos y una serie de nuevas producciones centradas en conflictos dinásticos y secretos familiares son algunas de las narrativas del portafolio que la distribuidora ATV presenta en los mercados de Content Americas y Natpe Global.

El eje central de la oferta épica es The Ottoman: Orhan. Esta nueva producción, catalogada como drama histórico, funciona como una secuela directa de la exitosa franquicia original. La trama se sitúa en la etapa final del liderazgo de Osman Bey, enfocándose en la lucha sucesoria entre sus hijos, Orhan y Alaeddin. La narrativa explora el conflicto político y militar de Orhan, quien, despojado del mando tras una derrota en Bursa, debe reunir aliados leales para enfrentar a los mongoles y cumplir el sueño de su padre de fundar el estado turco.

Esta novedad se complementa con la disponibilidad de la serie original, The Ottoman, que abarca 623 episodios y narra el ascenso inicial de Osman y sus batallas contra los imperios bizantino y mongol.

The Ottoman: Orhan

En el terreno del drama contemporáneo, ATV introduce tres títulos en producción que comparten la temática de los secretos familiares y el retorno al hogar:

A.B.I.: Un drama protagonizado por un cirujano exitoso, Doğan, que regresa a Estambul tras años de distanciamiento para la boda de su hermana. Un intento de asesinato durante la ceremonia expone viejos traumas y crímenes ocultos de la familia Hancıoğlu, obligando al protagonista a elegir entre su nueva vida o enfrentar la verdad junto a una abogada que busca justicia.

Waves of Love: La historia sigue a Azil, un capitán de barco que, al regresar de un largo viaje, interrumpe involuntariamente las operaciones criminales de su medio hermano. El conflicto escala al descubrir que su padre es un hombre poderoso que lo abandonó y que la mujer de la que se enamora está vinculada a esa familia.

Stranger in the Mirror: Un thriller psicológico sobre identidad. Azra, tras perder a su hija y sufrir un accidente, se somete a cirugía plástica y regresa a su antigua vida como «Defne», una criada sin memoria, para descubrir progresivamente su verdadera identidad y recuperar a su hija.

El catálogo se refuerza con títulos de reciente factura como The Nightfall, una historia de venganza donde un inspector de policía busca justicia por el asesinato de su padre 20 años atrás, solo para enamorarse de la hija de su enemigo.

Por otro lado, Queen of Tears (20 episodios) aborda el drama dentro del mundo corporativo. La serie narra la crisis matrimonial entre el director legal de un grupo empresarial y la heredera de la compañía, quienes deben reconstruir su vínculo tras el diagnóstico de una enfermedad terminal en medio de rivalidades de negocios.

La oferta se completa con dramas de largo recorrido como Safir, ambientada en Capadocia; Hidden Destiny, centrada en la reconexión de un padre con su hija; y Family Joy, una historia coral sobre un grupo de desconocidos que heredan una mansión y deben aprender a convivir.

Safir

Feraye, a textile design student and housekeeper at a wealthy Gülsoy family mansion in Cappadocia, has a flaw in her affection for Yaman, one of the family’s heirs. Her father, Muhsin, married Cemile, who was cruel to the family. Ateş, the eldest child, returns to his native Cappadocia where his grandfather has grander plans for him. Yaman plans to propose to Feraye, but she meets Bora, a shady character. Bora is hospitalized, and Yaman remains silent to protect his family. Yaman is now forced to wed Aleyna as a result of threats made by an eyewitness.Aleyna deceives Feraye, leading to her insane behaviour. Ateş saves her and they learn she is expecting a baby.Both loves are unable to reveal their truths, and Ateş will eventually fall in love with Feraye.

Street Birds
(Drama, 45 min, 67+ Episodes)

Five friends living on the streets, they sell handkerchiefs.They find a baby in the trash bin, because of Mercan’s motherly instincts, they decide to take care of the baby; named ‘Gülayşe’. Çatal, the bad guy notices the baby, thus the chaos begins by accidentally hurting him on their way to escape. Moreover, they had to kill the woman who was looking for the baby, again accidentally. Time goes by and the five ‘Ruthlesses’ are adults now. They run a cafe called ‘AteşKuşları’ and everything will soon fall apart after a policeman called Barbaros is after Gülayşe.      

A Little Sunshine
(Drama, 45 mins, In production)

Hakan and Elif were a happy couple until one day Hakan’s accident shows all the lies. Fırat is responsible for the accident whom Dila’s brother and Güneş’s Uncle. Güneş brings Elif’s dark life a bright light and Elif takes Güneş under her wings with the support of Fırat. and their story begins.

The Father
(Drama, 45 mins, In production)

A secret service assassin who served his country, CezayirTürk, takes revenge on his brother for being sabotaged. The necessary actions are taken and he fakes his own death, for the sake of the two things he values most in the world: his family and the government. Fate loves him and he starts his new life in Tashkent with his new family but everything starts to fall apart when he is discovered and forced to return to Istanbul.

For My Family
(Drama, 45 mins, 200+ Episodes)

A hurtful story starts when the same day both their parents died. Their big brother Kadir takes responsibility for their little siblings’ care.Now, unfortunate siblings have to face every painful truth of wicked life. Despite of poverty and homelessness they always stick together and stand by their side with every heartbroken truth and situation. 

The Ottoman

With ErtugrulGazi’s sickness, the Kayı tribe started to struggle both with outside enemies such as the Byzantine Empire and Mongolians and power struggles between the youngest son of Ertugrul Ghazi, Osman, and uncles of him, Dündar and Gündüz. The young and brave Osman will fight both internally and externally to defeat his enemies and empower the Kayı tribe in Anatolia.
