After nearly a decade off-screen, LoliRock is making a highly anticipated comeback. Banijay Kids & Family and France Télévisions have officially confirmed a third season of the popular animated musical series, which originally became a global phenomenon after its debut in 2014.
Produced by Zodiak Kids & Family France in collaboration with Xentrix Studios, the new 26 x 22-minute season will see the return of creator and director Jean-Louis Vandestoc. The reboot combines the franchise’s signature blend of magic, adventure and pop music with a refreshed visual style designed to appeal to both longtime fans and new audiences.
The story picks up after the defeat of Gramorr, with the princesses back on Earth and preparing for a world tour. However, a new threat emerges as Praxina, seeking revenge for her brother Mephisto’s death, becomes more powerful than ever. As they travel across the globe, the members of LoliRock must once again protect the planet while balancing their musical careers.
According to the producers, music will remain at the heart of the series, with a new lineup of original songs and performances intended to extend the experience beyond the screen. The production will also leverage an innovative animation pipeline developed by Xentrix Studios to enhance both visuals and storytelling.
Originally broadcast in more than 150 territories, LoliRock expanded beyond television through music releases, licensing programs and a strong digital presence. With its return, Banijay aims to reintroduce one of its most successful kids’ brands to a new generation while celebrating the legacy that made it a worldwide hit.
