Beatriz Cea Okan from Inter Medya: new slate, highlighting «Black Sea My Love»

On the first day of MIPCOM 2026 with a dedicated cocktail event –a classic-, Inter Medya highlighted its newly expanded catalog to international buyers and international press.

Prensario talked with Beatriz Cea Okan, VP and Head of Sales and Acquisitions, who outlined the company’s robust slate of long-running series, miniseries, and original productions designed for global free-to-air television. ‘We are super happy to be in this wonderful place for another year’. ‘Today is the first day of the market, and we are hosting a cocktail event to present our entire catalog of dramas and micro-dramas’.

For the FTA segment, the distributor is heavily spotlighting Black Sea My Love, noting that it hails from the same production team behind some of their previous hits. Alongside this new drama, the company officially introduced the highly anticipated second season of Halef, as well as a slate of three brand-new miniseries. Cea Okan also made a point to highlight one of the company’s most significant priorities at the market: Stolen Love (Amor Robado), which is an Inter Medya original production.

Despite the widespread industry buzz surrounding new narrative trends and vertical short-form series, Inter Medya remains confident in the enduring global appetite for traditional Turkish storytelling. When asked if the market’s interest was shifting toward these new formats, Cea Okan was clear about where the true volume of business lies for the company.

‘What buyers are asking for right now continues to be the same: classic drama’, she affirmed. ‘And that is exactly what we are producing and distributing’.
