Beta Film is set to present one of its most ambitious European productions, Rise of the Raven, during the MIPCOM week (Oct 19 – 24). The ten-part historical drama, which tells the epic story of 15th-century Hungarian military leader János Hunyadi, have its world premiere on October 22nd at the Grand Auditorium in Cannes. Attendees include the producer Robert Lantos, directors Robert Dornhelm and Orsi Nagypál, and key cast members such as Gellért L. Kádár and Vivien Rujder.
Rise of the Raven focuses on Hunyadi’s tireless fight to defend Europe from the Ottoman Empire’s attempts to expand westward. The series captures the complex power dynamics of noble families across Europe, political intrigue, and Hunyadi’s close relationships with the women who supported him.
