At MIPCOM Cannes 2024, Calinos Entertainment ofered a press event for its new drama Hidden Garden, produced by TMC and starring renowned actors Murat Yildirim and Ebru Sahin. Firat Gulgen, the founder and CEO of Calinos Entertainment, expressed high expectations for the series, forecasting that it would reach over 100 international territories. ‘We fell in love with the script, which has a highly international appeal and can resonate across many markets’, Gulgen stated during an interview with media delegates at the event. The series has already attracted interest from Israel and Russia, with Israel purchasing the rights based solely on the trailer.
Hidden Garden revolves around Demir, a successful architect from a wealthy family who is scarred by past emotional trauma. When he discovers his late brother’s son, Memo, Demir becomes determined to claim custody. However, he faces a challenging dynamic with Nazlı, Memo’s caretaker, a woman who leads a modest life and hides significant secrets. Their initial conflict transforms into a love story veiled in secrets and complex emotions.
Gulgen also shared that they are considering local adaptations for the series and have already begun negotiations in several countries, including Romania and Spain, showing its potential for international success. ‘It’s a good show with great potential’, Gulgen added. ‘We are confident it will perform well globally’.
