Centauro: New high-caliber deals

The Colombian-based production company and post-production services studio Centauro, had an excellent run last May at international festivals, where it signed important co-production and collaboration agreements.

Andrea Nieto, Managing Director of Centauro Group

The first of the agreements, raised at the Cannes Film Festival, was for What Was Left Unsaid, where Centauro – Productora LAP associates with the independent production company Clara Films, to work in the post-production stage of the title. The project is produced by Delavila Films and directed by Ricardo Valenzuela Pinilla.

With this post-production agreement, both Clara Films and Centauro – Productora LAP, will combine their resources, technical expertise, and creative insights to ensure that the film reaches its full potential during the crucial editing, sound design, visual effects, and overall post-production process. By harnessing the strengths of both companies, this collaboration aims to deliver a cinematic deep portrait of southern Chile in early 2000 that audiences will love.

Also, the company signed another agreement with Clara Film, and Canada’s December Films for the bilingual dramedy feature You Tell Me, from acclaimed writer-director Jacqueline Pepall.

Gustavo Nieto Roa, founder of Centauro, has recently been working with Clata Larrain, founder of Clara Film, with whom he completed his first co-production Winter Howl.

This collaboration represents a strategic partnership between the three companies, leveraging their respective strengths to maximize the film’s potential and reach new heights in the global film market.

Production on You Tell Me is set to begin by the end of the year, with an esteemed creative team already assembled, The film is scheduled for commercial release in 2025, and viewers can expect a joyful and immersive journey that will keep them laughing and reflecting for days.
