‘We are having exciting collaborations and co-productions, and we are dynamizing our activity. Co-producing is enlarging their states of minds and is a way to be more relevant- taking inspiration from very diverse cultures; it also helps to be more pertinent in the documentary productions and in the International Market ‘, commented Schneider.

The DW highlights in the market are: Her, which follow women life stories from all Asia, with various comparisons between their habits. For instance, one episode shows The Dating rituals of Women from various countries.

Also, Generations, that tells the conflicts of generations within various cultures. It gives emotion and one more time human feeling to the narrative. But still being a journalistic work, factually spoken.

The executives also pointed More Life, a production about aging. This is a 1h program about the question of being old and staying healthy, with very deep thinking and a multiple perspective point of view. It is a clever and healthy program for everyone for sure, according to the execs.

Regarding trends for the market, Hungermann stressed: ‘strong needs for facts & reliable information, science & environment are more popular than ever. Travel and adventure could be the 3rd trend’.
