Ahead of MIPCOM and MIPJunior, Leader Entertainment is celebrating a rare milestone in the fast-paced world of children’s entertainment. Its flagship property, El Reino Infantil, is marking 15 years not just of survival, but of compounding global dominance. With over 250 million subscribers and more than 9 billion views in the first half of the year alone, the Argentine-born digital powerhouse has officially transcended its origins to become a ubiquitous global franchise.

To anchor its MIPCOM 2026 presence, the company officially announcing the start of production for La Granja de Zenón: La película. This marks the most ambitious cinematic project in the history of one of the highest-reaching Spanish-language children’s franchises globally.
‘After conquering generations of children and families through music, video, digital platforms, live theatrical shows, and consumer products, the beloved property is embarking on a new chapter on the big screen’, comments to Prensario, Felipe De Stefani, CEO of Leader Entertainment during an interview. ‘The feature film represents a monumental milestone in the evolution of a digital-first franchise that successfully transcended its original screens to become an international entertainment brand’.
The power of audience validation

According to De Stefani, the brand has firmly conquered the living room, with 65% of its YouTube viewership now occurring on Connected TVs. This digital stronghold has served as a launchpad for broad multi-platform distribution, landing the brand on major SVOD and FAST services worldwide, including Netflix, Amazon, ViX, Pluto TV, Samsung TV Plus, and Rakuten.
A key driver behind the brand’s expansive international footprint is its meticulous localization strategy, spearheaded by Ylka Tapia, Head of Growth Partnerships at El Reino Infantil brand. ‘While the content originates in Latin America, El Reino Infantil is currently localized into 11 languages, with precise cultural adaptations applied to each territory’, explains.
‘We try to ensure that the content, while respecting our essence, adapts to those territories’, Tapia adds, noting that concepts like farming required distinct visual and narrative adjustments for markets like South Korea and India. While Mexico remains the brand’s largest audience hub and the United States stands as its top monetization market, El Reino Infantil has established massive, highly engaged audiences in non-Spanish-speaking strongholds such as Vietnam, India, Russia, Indonesia, and Italy.
For international buyers, this massive digital footprint provides an invaluable metric: proven audience validation. High watch times, solid retention, and deep engagement on YouTube eliminate the guesswork for SVOD buyers, shifting the platform’s traditional role in the distribution window. ‘YouTube has become the first window in many cases… it has become the sandbox where things are tested first to see if they can be sold to more premium platforms’, De Stefani notes.
Quality as the ultimate differentiator
The barrier to entry for content creation has never been lower, exponentially increasing global supply while consumer demand remains relatively stable. In this saturated landscape, De Stefani points out that premium digital real estate is now a commodity.
‘Everyone is in the same place. So what really differentiates you is the house, no longer the location. Because everything competes with everything, standing out is directly tied to the quality of the content you can produce’.
Moving up the value chain
To capitalize on this top-tier positioning, Leader Entertainment is aggressively expanding its business model. Beyond the leap into cinema and pursuing new distribution partnerships at MIPCOM, the company is undertaking a massive strategic shift by taking the manufacturing of its consumer products in-house. Rather than relying solely on third-party licensing for physical merchandise, the company is preparing to manufacture its own toys, offering a complete 360-degree physical and digital ecosystem to its massive audience.
At the same time, is also diversifying its target demographics and interactive offerings. New initiatives include launching educational gaming apps on platforms like Roblox, deepening their musical integrations, and creating specific guides for parents to complement the educational aspects of their preschool content during co-viewing.
Embracing an AI and mixed-reality future
Looking ahead to the next 15 years, Leader Entertainment views emerging technologies not as threats, but as unparalleled creative trampolines. Rather than viewing generative AI as a cheap substitute for traditional animation, the company sees it as a tool to execute unprecedented cinematic visions.
Di Stefano envisions a rapidly approaching era of mixed reality, where the currently segmented physical and digital experiences converge into a seamless ‘phygital’ environment. ‘We have two maxims: a company that doesn’t grow, dies. And if you can’t run at the speed the market runs, you can’t participate’, concludes.
