The television phenomenon La Casa de los Famosos México, produced by EndemolShine Boomdog, part of Banijay Americas, returned with a bang in its third season and became the most-watched premiere of any of its editions in Mexico. The broadcast on TelevisaUnivision‘s Las Estrellas reached more than 12 million viewers across all its platforms, far exceeding the figures for its two previous seasons.
The reality show, which follows 15 celebrities isolated from the outside world and monitored 24 hours a day by more than 60 cameras and 70 microphones, has established itself as a multi-platform event. The premiere alone generated more than 50 million video views on social media and has accumulated more than 700 million since the resident’s revelations.

But the reality show’s success isn’t the only news from EndemolShine Boomdog in the region. In August, A Fábrica Mexico & U.S. Hispanic, the group’s fiction-focused label, announced the appointment of screenwriter and executive producer Santiago Zapata as its new Vice President of Scripted. With a solid track record in international projects such as Los Montaner (Disney+), La Firma (Netflix) and Thalía’s Mixtape (Paramount+), Zapata will lead the development and production of premium series aimed at Mexico, the US Hispanic market and Latin America.
The announcement follows the recent partnership between EndemolShine Boomdog, Banijay Entertainment and Venezuelan writer Leonardo Padrón, who launched Leonardo Padrón Productions. Padrón, author of hits such as Pálpito and Accidente, will develop high-impact dramas in collaboration with A Fábrica Mexico & U.S. Hispanic, with the aim of positioning and bringing quality stories to Hispanic and global markets.
