Highlighting the diversity of narratives and creativity in the entertainment industry, these new offerings took the stage at ATF to attract the attention of global buyers.
Presented by Steven Park, Senior Sales Manager at KBS Media Ltd, presented Golden Girls, which takes four divas through challenges to join a K-pop music group in an intriguing 12-episode, 80-minute format. Meanwhile, Hyemin Hwang, Sales Manager at MBC, shared details about Alumni Lovers, a project that emphasizes the connection between generations and the unexpected challenges faced by veteran singers.
Also, Hansa Park, Head of Production at Something Special, introduced Still Alive, a reality game show full of excitement and fun. Set in a mansion, participants must uncover the unknown deadly rule to win. With outstanding success in Korea, this program has been optioned in several European countries.
On the other hand, Hyejin Park, Manager at SLL, presented Doctor CHA, a Korean family comedy that follows the life of Cha Jung-sook, a full-time homemaker pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor at the age of 46. With a fast and simple approach, the series has achieved high ratings in Korea and stood out on Netflix‘s global non-English TV chart.
And Whitney Kim, Manager at SBS, revealed The Escape of the Seven, created by Kim Sun-ok, the mastermind behind hits like the Penthouse series. The plot follows the quest for justice for the death of Kang Dami, featuring surprising twists and planned revenge.
