Among the key titles being presented is Sherlock & Daughter, a period drama featuring Emmy and BAFTA nominee David Thewlis (Harry potter, Fargo, The Sandman) as an aging Sherlock Holmes. This eight-part series explores the detective’s struggles with his personal and professional life as he encounters a young woman, Amelia, who claims to be his daughter. The show is a CW Original in Association with Discovery+ and many broadcasters around the world have already acquired it.
Also in the line up is Curfew, a glossy, aspirational and provocative thriller with a huge hook, based on an international best-seller by Jayne Cowie. Set in a world where men are curfewed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., the series explores the aftermath of a murder in this dystopian society. Paramount+ serves as the lead broadcaster for this six-part series.
Additionally, the period mini-series Miss Austen will be highlighted at the event. Starring Keeley Hawes and Rose Leslie, the show delves into the story of Jane Austen’s sister, Cassandra, and her decision to burn Jane’s letters, sparking a narrative centered on familial and romantic bonds.
Federation’s documentary offerings include In the Belly of AI, a high-end and exclusive look at the environmental and human costs of artificial intelligence, and Kabul Chaos, a fast-faced documentary on the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, filmed from the inside. These titles reflect Federation’s focus on relevant, globally impactful stories.
