Fox EG: del legado histórico a un pujante presente

Ya es un clásico: los domingos a la tarde del fin de semana epicentro de los LA Screenings, Fox Entertainment Global (FEG) realiza su cocktail en la calle New York de los míticos Fox Studios, congregando a unos 400 buyers de la comunidad internacional, en especial europeos y de los países grandes. Los años anteriores no hubo anuncios, pero esta vez muy fuertes: que Prentiss Fraser es la nueva presidente de distribución global y que los nuevos Fox EG Studios, con Fernando Szew como CEO, toman velocidad y producen ficción, formatos de entretenimiento y animación para adultos, los tres pilares históricos de Fox que vuelven a estar vigentes.

Con el nuevo slogan de ‘Entertainment that moves’, un video institucional destacó el compromiso de la nueva Fox por seguir innovando en ficción y en entretenimiento, tomando el legado histórico del estudio de ser irreverente y promover nuevas formas y estilos de contenido, no quedarse en los estándares convencionales.

Fernando Szew destacó: ‘En unscripted, estamos presentando ‘Gordon Ramsey secret service’, su nuevo cooking show de competencia. Y para Navidad tendremos, siguiendo su línea de ‘Gordon Ramsay Next Level Chef’, a ‘Gordon Ramsay Next Level Baker’, esperamos gran suceso con ambos shows. En animación para adultos brindamos nuevas temporadas de nuestras dos series base, ‘Krapópolis’ y ‘Grimsburg’, y en scripted tenemos ‘The best medicine’, comedia de una hora con gran potencial. Tendremos intenso nivel de producción de aquí en más, para el ecosistema del grupo y también proyectos para terceros’.

Prensario también conversó con Prentiss Fraser, que señaló: ‘Me alegra mucho pasar a liderar la distribución internacional de Fox, en un momento de franco crecimiento del catálogo y la llegada de la empresa en las distintas regiones. Más allá de que la oferta es integral, quiero destacar nuestras ficciones premium y entertainment shows del tipo shiny floor, que tenemos muy buenas propuestas’.
