Gaumont teamed up with Stories by France TV Distribution and Dutch producers Paradise Media to develop and produce LE PRINCE. A 6×52’ mystery thriller and a cheerful escapade with a strong female lead inspired by the never seen on screen true story of the disappearance of Louis le Prince, her husband and inventor of the first ever motion picture camera.
The writers Charles den Tex, an award-winning thriller author, and Paul de Vrijer, who co-developed the BAFTA-nominated Hunter Street, form an exciting team, adept at building suspense and adventure. The show will take place in the France of the late 19th century, a few years before the invention of cinema.
