Global Agency, the world’s renowned TV content distributor, presented at Mipcom 2024 its new drama Vendetta, with an exclusive cocktail followed by a press conference together with the protagonists Barış Baktaş and Yagmur Yuksel.

Vendetta tells the moving story of Baran and Dilan, and the marriage they are forced into in order to end a blood feud despite the hostility of those around them, igniting a passion that will either blossom into love or bring devastation.

The feud between two eastern Turkish clans erupts again in Istanbul, and the only way to stop the violence is for Baran Karabey to marry Dilan Demir, the daughter of his family’s enemy. For Dilan, who grew up ignoring the strife, marriage is a prison.  For Baran it is also difficult, because he must be ruthless to keep his bloodthirsty family under control.  But beneath Baran’s cold exterior beats the heart of a compassionate leader willing to sacrifice his own happiness to bring peace to his tribe.

Even after the wedding, dark forces work to reignite the feud and strip Baran of his family fortune.  Eventually, danger closes in on Baran and Dilan, who must work together to survive.  To end the vendetta for good, their paper marriage will have to become a real one: only love can end it.

‘We are very happy to star in this project together with Global Agency. They have supported us in every way from the beginning. We are not business partners, but family. Regarding my character, I think a challenge was to create a role of emotional struggles. This is a character who suffers a lot within this story, and is trying to protect what you love. Even putting his own life first. Bilan is trying to have dignity and stay strong despite so much pain, which is why he needs Dylan’s support. It was very tough shooting, because of the intensity of the tragic scenes, but a great challenge at the end, with a great emotional and psychological burden. We are very happy’ said Barış Baktaş to Prensario.
