Globo is participating in NATPE Budapest, the key audiovisual industry event in Eastern Europe. The company is presenting a selection of its recent releases, classic telenovelas, Globoplay Original series, and both scripted and unscripted formats, reinforcing its expansion strategy in the region.
A central focus for Globo at NATPE Budapest is the international launch of Raul Seixas: Let Me Sing. This Globoplay Original series explores the cultural, political, and spiritual influences of the iconic Brazilian singer-songwriter Raul Seixas. The production was notably the first Brazilian series selected for the International Panorama Competition at Series Mania in March of this year.
Globo’s portfolio for the event includes recent telenovela releases. Crazy About You (original title Mania de Você), recently aired in Brazilian prime-time, is a telenovela by João Emanuel Carneiro. The story follows the friendship between Viola (Gabz) and Luma (Agatha Moreira), two women born on the same day whose lives intertwine years later. She’s The One (original title Garota do Momento), by Alessandra Poggi, is set in the 1950s and follows Beatriz (Duda Santos) on a journey of self-discovery and reconciliation with her past. The new season of the action series Anti-Kidnapping Unit (original title A Divisão), created by José Junior and José Luiz Magalhães, and directed by Lipe Binder, presents suspenseful episodes set in late 1990s Rio de Janeiro, following Detective Carlos Mendonça (Silvio Guindane) and Inspector Juliano Santiago (Erom Cordeiro).
In addition to these titles, Globo’s offerings at NATPE Budapest include classic telenovelas such as Brazil Avenue, Her Own Destiny (original title Senhora do Destino), and Total Dreamer (original title Totalmente Demais). The portfolio also features successful drama formats like Justice, All The Flowers (original title Todas as Flores), and Trail of Lies (original title Rastros de Mentiras).
