Its popular drama series have not only become part of the television landscape in more than 40 African countries, but have also found their way into homes in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. In line with changing consumption habits, the company has strategically expanded its global reach through partnerships with OTT platforms, adapting to new ways of watching content.

The global distribution arm of GMA Network, is entering a dynamic and promising new chapter. According to Rochella Ann Salvador, Assistant Vice President of the Worldwide Division, the company is ‘riding the momentum of a strong start to the year’, marked by significant licensing deals and strategic partnerships across multiple territories.

The company continues to shine in its core strength—delivering high-quality Filipino dramas, films, and entertainment formats to international buyers. Yet, it’s also charting bold new territory. ‘We’re exploring new opportunities with vertical content platforms and pushing more aggressively into the OTT landscape’, Salvador shares. This forward-thinking approach is anchored in adaptability and alignment with shifting global audience trends.

Looking to the near future, GMA Worldwide is gearing up for 2025 with optimism and strategic intent. ‘The content market is increasingly competitive, but we see this as an opportunity rather than a setback’, says Salvador. The team is focusing on breaking into new territories and strengthening alliances with OTT and digital partners, ensuring the company remains both agile and audience-centric.

‘Our goal is to turn challenges into exciting wins’, Salvador adds. ‘We want 2025 to be a year defined by growth, new connections, and more Filipino stories touching lives around the world’.

GMA Worldwide is also placing a spotlight on two standout titles that encapsulate the creative breadth and emotional depth of the GMA brand.

The first is Crocodile Whisperer Book 2, an action-fantasy series following the journey of Lolong, a hero wielding the mystical Ubtao gem. This season intensifies the narrative, with Lolong fighting to save his wife and protect Isla Pangil from forces seeking to exploit the gem’s power. Blending adventure, mythology, and a strong social message, the series is tailor-made for platforms seeking high-impact genre content.

The second title, My Guardian Alien, ventures into emotionally rich drama-fantasy territory. The story follows an alien who takes the form of a deceased woman, offering a grieving husband and son a second chance at happiness. But just as the family begins to heal, a jealous fiancée arrives to test their fragile peace. It’s a poignant tale of love, loss, and otherworldly hope.
