On June 29, the streaming platform will celebrate its first anniversary in Latin America with great achievements, among which Batman stands out, for being the most watched movie in all of Latin America.
Since its launch in Latin America on June 29, 2021, the streaming platform has obtained more than 44.3 million downloads from the Google Play Store in the Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries, ranking first in downloads against all key competitors, since its launch in our region.
During this year, HBO Max has accumulated more than 1.9 billion hours viewed on the platform. The vast majority of hours (1.3 billion) are in series, where the highest engagement is generated.
Regarding the performance of the contents of the more than 700 carousels on the platform, the most watched film in Latin America is Batman. The most recent installment of the superhero personified by Bruce Wayne, played by Robert Pattinson, is part of the “Del Cine a tu Casa” franchise, this agreement without precedent at a global level, which brings to the platform great titles from Warner Bros., few weeks after its theatrical release.
In this first year there are already 24 films released and in the Top 3 of the most watched after Batman are Space Jam: A new Era and The Suicide Squad. Likewise, the platform has 194 titles that are Max Originals productions, of the almost 4,000 titles on the platform, there are about 900 whose main genre is drama.
For its part, the most viewed children’s content from kids profiles are: The Incredible World of Gumball, Craig’s World, One More Show and Adventure Time, while for those under 5 years of age they are Blippi and Daffy the Spider. On the other hand, children’s content not necessarily seen from children’s profiles, the Harry Potter movies stand out, which are the most popular almost every month.
