Insight TV, the specialist in UHD content, channel group, and distributor, is rolling out its summer new release slate, featuring over 50 hours of factual programming. The new lineup includes automotive, food, fishing, travel & adventure, and premium sports documentaries.
The premium sports category is highlighted by the rugby docu-series United States of Rugby (6×44’), produced by Goldfinch Entertainment, and Taniwha Unleashed – Inside The Chiefs Rugby Club (3×60’), from Butter Media. The latter provides an inside look at a prominent New Zealand rugby team and its connection to the All Blacks’ cultural foundations. These are complemented by the Insight Original Streetball with Kenny Dobbs (10×22’), produced by Insight TV and Bspoke, which blends street basketball with cultural elements, culminating in a New York City showdown.
In the fishing genre, the slate includes a returning series, the TVNZ-commissioned spearfishing epic South Seas Spearo S3 (12×60’), produced by The Hunters Club. New titles in this category include Red’s Fishing Adventures: The Bucket List (10×30’), from Black Fox Productions, where pro angler Aaron ‘Red’ Habgood and Kane Reardon pursue specific fish species across Australia.
The travel, food, and adventure programming continues to grow. Car & Country Quest (6×30’ / 3×60’), produced by Searchlight Productions & Branded Studios, follows Deepak Narendran, Freddie Hunt, and Ashique Thahir on a road trip across India and Europe. New travel formats include Journey To with David Whitehill (5×60’), produced by Proud Nomads, featuring journalist David Whitehill exploring local stories in various global destinations. For Which She Rolls (6×22’, Storyteller) documents off-road adventurer Jillian Rebekah’s road trip across the American West with friends, while Analogue Drive (3×60’, Storyteller) features radio personality Steve Gorman connecting with musicians on the road. Additionally, Maximum Foodie S5 (8×30’, SD Media) returns with host Sashi De exploring diverse food cultures, and Magic in Lapland (5×24’, NTRNZ Media) showcases magician Henri Kemppainen blending illusion with nature and Sámi folklore in Finland’s Arctic north.
