Insight TV: th specialist in UHD content

Insight TV, the specialist in UHD content, channel group, and distributor, is rolling out its summer new release slate, featuring over 50 hours of factual programming. The new lineup includes automotive, food, fishing, travel & adventure, and premium sports documentaries. 

The premium sports category is highlighted by the rugby docu-series United States of Rugby (6×44’), produced by Goldfinch Entertainment, and Taniwha Unleashed – Inside The Chiefs Rugby Club (3×60’), from Butter Media. The latter provides an inside look at a prominent New Zealand rugby team and its connection to the All Blacks’ cultural foundations. These are complemented by the Insight Original Streetball with Kenny Dobbs (10×22’), produced by Insight TV and Bspoke, which blends street basketball with cultural elements, culminating in a New York City showdown. 

In the fishing genre, the slate includes a returning series, the TVNZ-commissioned spearfishing epic South Seas Spearo S3 (12×60’), produced by The Hunters Club. New titles in this category include Red’s Fishing Adventures: The Bucket List (10×30’), from Black Fox Productions, where pro angler Aaron ‘Red’ Habgood and Kane Reardon pursue specific fish species across Australia. 

The travel, food, and adventure programming continues to grow. Car & Country Quest (6×30’ / 3×60’), produced by Searchlight Productions & Branded Studios, follows Deepak Narendran, Freddie Hunt, and Ashique Thahir on a road trip across India and Europe. New travel formats include Journey To with David Whitehill (5×60’), produced by Proud Nomads, featuring journalist David Whitehill exploring local stories in various global destinations. For Which She Rolls (6×22’, Storyteller) documents off-road adventurer Jillian Rebekah’s road trip across the American West with friends, while Analogue Drive (3×60’, Storyteller) features radio personality Steve Gorman connecting with musicians on the road. Additionally, Maximum Foodie S5 (8×30’, SD Media) returns with host Sashi De exploring diverse food cultures, and Magic in Lapland (5×24’, NTRNZ Media) showcases magician Henri Kemppainen blending illusion with nature and Sámi folklore in Finland’s Arctic north.

It’s more than the car itself in RIDE LIFE, it’s about the origins of the car’s culture, the communities they create, and the ways cars can change our lives. Along the way, Sung checks out some of the fastest machines on the planet, goes on epic drives in jaw dropping locations, gets his hands dirty in restoration projects and even races with his celebrity friends. There will be sexy supercars, stunning locations, cool machine mods, retro renovations, and edge of your seat drives that promise high octane entertainment.

Resilience: The Els Visser Story (1 x 60’)

Adventure riding pioneer, Jess Zahra, embarks on an epic motorbike quest across India. It’s a 5000km trek into the heart of the country and she has invited a convoy of bikers to join her, making her journey unforgettable.
It is a real adventure, with culture and traditions explored and connections made on the road, proving that it’s the people who make the ride in a country like India. The wildlife is ever present and the beauty is everywhere but the roads are tough to navigate and accidents will happen. A bad day on Roads Unknown could end with a night in jail or broken bones but the journey is unforgettable and nothing is staged. Jess doesn’t do easy, so there is no five star accommodation or crews following close behind… just epic adventure riding on Roads Unknown.

Streetball with Kenny Dobbs (10 X 22’)

STREETBALL WITH KENNY DOBBS is an entertaining, inspirational, and insightful journey into the world of street basketball, all ending in a showpiece game where Kenny Dobb’s team of streetball legends (featuring White Iverson, Slim Reaper, Leaky Roof, Doug Anderson and Jay Moore) take on fierce rivals in New York City. Before the showdown game in NYC, Kenny prepares his team by taking them on a tour of the USA and challenging them against top local talent in nine different cities. Along the way, he’ll explore the local streetball culture to learn what gives each city its competitive edge and discover the heroes who’ve used streetball to help elevate their local communities.

South Sea Spearo (12 X 60′)

South Seas Spearo is an underwater exploration into spearfishing. Each episode is a competition and while other sports are played on a pitch or a court, the crew here in South Sea Spearo play in open water and although they play to win… the thrill of a trophy is shared with stunning underwater photography in some of the worlds most stunning oceans.
