Inter Medya once again stood out at MIPCOM 2025 with a selection of Turkish dramas that focus on the human tensions, moral dilemmas and impossible passions that characterize the country’s successful content. From its stand on La Croisette, the distributor presented a selection of titles led by Eshref Ruya and Halef, as well as its first ‘vertical drama,’ a short format that marks a new stage in its catalogue.

Eshref Ruya, produced by Tims&B, follows Eşref, an influential mafia member who spends years searching for the girl he met in his childhood, ‘Rüya’. Unbeknownst to him, he falls in love with Nisan, a young musician who turns out to be that same woman, now a police informant. The conflict between love, loyalty and crime runs through this story, which has become an international hit, with a second season that consolidates its strength in audiences.

For his part, Halef narrates the drama of Serhat, a former surgeon who, after secretly marrying the woman he loves, is forced into a second religious marriage due to a family conflict. Compelled to assume the role of heir and live with two wives, he faces the difficult task of balancing power, duty and his heart.

Beatrice Cea Okan, VP and Head of Sales and Acquisitions at Inter Medya, expressed her enthusiasm for the reception from the public and the press: ‘We are happy to be back in Cannes. “Eshref Ruya” has had a spectacular reception and we wanted to celebrate it with a cocktail party with its stars. It was an incredible event, with press from all over the world.’

The executive also highlighted the arrival of new formats: ‘We brought “Halef”, which we will officially present for Latin America at MIP Cancun, and our first vertical micro-drama with 55 episodes of one and a half minutes each. The response has been excellent’.
