LAVS 2021: all regions on board

The traditional LA Screenings in Los Angeles has always received buyers from all the world, but just for Latin America there was set up an independent market at the Century City hotels. Now that the event is online, we have very good participation from all the regions.

The attached graphic of Day 1 at LAVS 2021, is a good proof: though the Americas is the first region, there are very strong traffic from Europe and Asia, which get together +40% of the attendance. There have been 904 participants from 302 cities, 70 countries. If you go deeper in the selection, you see that there were 29% from North America, 21,8% from South America, 11,6% Southern Europe, 9,6% Western Europe, 6,1% Central America and 5,5% Western Asia, among other regions.

The screenings behavior, displayed at the daily newsletter main article, has responded this share. When you see the rankings of the top 15 booths and top 15 contents at the platform, you check that the supremacy of the Americas keeps strong, but there are very good numbers for European content. Even Japanese TBS takes one of the top 15 booths.

Though today at every region the buyers acquire all kinds of content, the own region preferences keep sensible. During the market, it is expected that European and Asian participants continue growing. Traditionally the VS events receive people from exotic countries: Papua Guinea, French Polynesia, etc.
