At the main article of the LAVS daily newsletter, we see that the TV series (long and short) are the preferred type of content for screenings at the event landscape, followed by films, unscripted formats, docs & factual and kids & family. What can we say about the preferred screenings by genre and content origin?
As the genre pie shows, drama and telenovela are first selections, corresponding with the long series supremacy in the type of contents. But then two non-fiction options follow at the pie: kids & family Animation and documentaries. They gain vs. K&F live action or factual, for instance. And later at the pie, Thriller/suspense confirms that is a very good genre in the pandemic, because it travels well to all territories. Reality shows and comedies complete the main map.
About screenings per content origin, we confirm once more that Latin America leads the market these two days, with two distributors of the top 3 at the ranking included in main article of the daily. But Europe is close and approaching. The very good performance of Spain, with various series in the top 15 contents, has many to do, but also Germany or France, for instance. Turkey and Asia will grow from now.
