Mediaset Distribution presenting to international buyers its new format Io Canto Family, at NEM Dubrovnik in Croatia (June 10-13) and Natpe Budapest in Hungary (June 24-27).
Sales Manager Claudia Marra expressed her satisfaction with the show’s successful premiere on Canale 5. The singing family show debuted on Monday, May 20th, achieving impressive ratings with 2.4 million viewers and a 16.93% share. The second episode, which aired on Monday, May 27th, also performed well with a 15.37% share.
Io Canto Family, a spin-off of the popular show Io Canto Generation, features young talents aged 10 to 15 who perform alongside a parent or close relative, sharing the stage to showcase their vocal abilities and emotional connections. ‘The format is dedicated to young talents ready to amaze the audience with their voices and emotions’, said Marra.
This new edition is hosted by Michelle Hunziker, taking over from Gerry Scotti, who hosted the previous version and is currently busy with the new edition of The Wheel of Fortune in access prime time.
