Mediawan, Elefantec Global and UnbeliEVAble Entertainment are pooling their expertise to co-produce the adaptation of the series, Call My Agent, for all Spanish-speaking American territories.
This partnership between these three international leaders will bring this global property to life with a fresh take that maintains the humor and satirical wit fans have come to love. Together these powerhouse groups will deploy this emblematic brand for the first time in Hispanic America, in key territories of the audiovisual market.
In addition to lending her producing prowess as the CEO of UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, Eva Longoria will also direct the first two episodes. A director with over a decade of experience, Longoria recently premiered her feature directorial debut Flamin’ Hot at the SXSW Film & TV Festival where it was met with rave reviews and named the Audience Award winner.
The unique concept of Call My Agent, which illustrates the hectic life of celebrity agents, led to the international success of the series, which was broadcast on France Télévisions for four seasons with record audiences, and then acquired by Netflix.
The original series was produced by Mon Voisin Productions (Mediawan Group) and Mother Production, and has already been successfully adapted abroad, most recently in Italy by Palomar (Mediawan Group). Its editorial promise, which brings together the best writing and directing talent behind the camera and a premium cast on screen, makes it a particularly appealing content to the industry.
