The first screening of the second day of market at Rendez-vous, saw images from the series Tom & Lola at the Cinéma Pathé Docks Vauban. Randall Broman, Head of International Sales – Scripted of Mediawan Rights, commented: ‘Tom & Lola is our latest procedural crime series which concept follows in the footsteps of our other successful procedural show, Tándem. And it comes from the same production company and creative team behind that success. And those guys really know everything when it comes to writing and producing a good and entertaining TV show’.
‘You have in Tom & Lola a very entertaining dynamic and chemistry between two central investigative characters and two individuals that have known each other and been friends since childhood, except now they have to work together in the same precinct. But here comes the twist. They have, because of personal circumstances, they have to share an apartment with their respective kids from previous marriages. So basically, they’re cops by day and struggling parents the rest of the time. And this whole situation makes this, well, provides, we hope, the smiles and the light side to this lifetime show’, concluded Broman.
