Digitoonz Media & Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has announced the appointment of Vrinda Sood as Vice President. The animation studio, with headquarters in India and offices in the US and Europe, is expanding its commercial reach and reinforcing its presence in animation, VFX, and gaming.
In her new leadership role, Sood is tasked with driving business growth, identifying new opportunities, expanding the studio’s client base, and forming strategic partnerships. She is also expected to play a central role in developing new business verticals and fostering creative collaborations across sectors.
Executive brings over a decade of experience in both creative and business aspects of the animation industry, including advertising, branded content, OTT animation shows, TV series, and feature films in animation and VFX. Her background includes scaling businesses, forming strategic partnerships, and integrating emerging technologies like AI and Unreal Engine in production pipelines.
Sood will concurrently continue as CEO of Citrus Ink Studios, a company she founded. Citrus Ink Studios and Digitoonz formed a strategic partnership in December 2024 to launch DGX, a joint venture focused on next-generation VFX, animation, and gaming services. Sood has also led award-winning projects, such as her short film The Social Chameleon, which received 57 official festival selections.
