Multiplatform distribution continues to be one of the main objectives for content producers and distributors for kids and families, and this was discussed by Moonbug Entertainment America, Spin Master and Banijay Kids and Family in one of the conferences on the third day of MIPJunior 2023.
Andy Yeatman is Managing Director Americas at Moonbug Entertainment said that the company’s policy pursues multiplatform presence: ‘We seek to be where our audience is. We aim to have a presence on most of the strong platforms. We closely monitor possible approaches to local players who tend to be quite strong, such as public channels’.
‘We take our brands from the ground up and do it individually, so each IP has a unique multi-platform distribution, which can include strong streamers, specific markets and even consumer products that fit their profile’, said Jennifer Dodge, President of Spin Master Canada.
And finally, Delphine Dumont, CCO of Banijay Kids and Family, said that although they have a smaller slate compared to the other spokespersons at the conference, they carefully study the expansion of their IP: ‘Associations are our DNA, so when we think about multiplatform distribution, we thought of the perfect partner to accompany us in this task.’
