NHK Enterprises arrives at MIPCOM 2026 with a diverse slate spanning factual programming, science and technology, arts and culture, drama, manga-related series and children’s content. Leading the offering is Amazing Dinoworld III, the third installment of the factual franchise, currently in production and comprising two 49-minute episodes. The series revisits the evolutionary history of Tyrannosauruses and Triceratops, using newly discovered fossils, immersive CGI and the latest scientific research to explore how two iconic dinosaurs came to dominate the ecosystems of ancient North America.

The factual selection also includes THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD Sagrada Familia: The Tower of Jesus Christ, a 52-minute arts and culture documentary currently in production. Marking the completion of the Sagrada Familia’s central tower in June 2026, the program follows the effort to reconstruct Antoni Gaudí’s vision and focuses on the engineering and craftsmanship behind the monumental cross crowning the tower. NHK had exclusive access to document the project over 15 years, with the production filmed using specially developed 8K cameras.
On the scripted side, Blossom is a new NHK Morning Drama Series portraying the life of Hano Tama, a woman born in Japan in 1897 who pursues her dream of becoming a writer despite social restrictions, personal losses, war and financial difficulties. The slate also features Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, a crime, mystery and thriller drama based on the manga spin-off of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, with nine episodes plus the spin-off special Izumi Kyoka Will Not Be Silenced. Meanwhile, Hirayasumi adapts the internationally acclaimed manga into a slice-of-life drama about a carefree young man whose quiet life changes after inheriting a traditional one-story house.
Rounding out the selection is Design Ah! neo, a children’s series that uses design, video and music to encourage young audiences to observe everyday life, identify problems and develop creative solutions. The international portfolio of NHK Enterprises spans drama, factual, documentaries, animation, children’s and educational programming, combining NHK’s storytelling expertise with advanced production technologies including 4K and 8K. Akiko Nakano, Sales Executive, represents the company in its international distribution activities.
