NOS, the largest news organization in the Netherlands, has relaunched its streaming app NOS Live with new versions for smart TVs such as Samsung and LG, as well as all Ziggo customers. It also includes “Moments” with sports highlights, which was previously only available to web users.
Dutch public broadcaster NOS streams more than 500 broadcasts per year via web, apps and smart TVs. A large part of this is transmitted solely via streaming, and often relates to sports matches
Enhancements include an improved guide to what is scheduled several weeks in advance. The broadcasts will also include additional information, for example, during the European Athletics Championships, the time when Dutch athletes will participate.
NOS Live already supports LG smart TVs, which use the WebOS or Tizen operating system. Newer Samsung TVs will receive the application in the coming weeks.
